Property management firm Scanlans establishes new Manchester HQ
Property management business Scanlans has moved into a new office in the centre of Manchester.
The company has relocated its 40-strong head office team from 75 Mosley Street to a 4,600 sq ft unit at Boulton House on Chorlton Street.
Scanlans, which also operates offices in Yorkshire, London and the Midlands, has signed a seven-year lease for the new base.
Ahead of the move, the Chorlton Street HQ was refurbished with new air conditioning, lighting and décor, in addition to a newly fitted out kitchen and meeting rooms.
Partner Ian Stanistreet, the head of Scanlans’ Manchester-based property management team, led the move, which he said will allow the firm to grow its team.
He commented: “Our management portfolio has continued to grow in size over the past few years and, as the property market improves, we are seeing an even greater level of activity for both our management and surveying divisions.
“We looked at several sites in Manchester before choosing Boulton House.”
Ian continued: “It keeps us in the heart of the city, where we have been for many years, and enables us to provide continuity of service to our clients while having space to add to our team in line with market demand.”
Law firm Bromleys’ head of commercial, partner Paul Westwell, advised Scanlans on the relocation.
Paul said: “It’s been a pleasure working with Ian and the team in completing this transaction.
“Having worked with Scanlans for several years, we were aware of the firm’s requirement for new office space.”
He added: “The office market in Manchester is highly competitive and we were pleased to assist Scanlans in securing these new premises to enable the firm to continue to expand.”
