Lancashire jewellers named among 25 best companies to work for
St Annes-on-Sea-based Beaverbrooks the Jewellers has been named among this year’s best businesses to work for by the Sunday Times.
The family-run jewellers, which ranked 16th, was the only Lancashire business to be named on the 100 Best Companies list.
Beaverbrooks has managed to secure a place on the list for the last 13 years running, coming in 19th place in 2015.
Company chairman Mark Adlestone said: “To be named among the UK’s top 25 workplaces for 13 consecutive years is quite an accomplishment.
“Our people are what make us so special and together we have achieved remarkable things over the past 12 months.”
He added: “We’ve continued to grow while retaining our strong family values which are ingrained in the business and I am very proud of the culture that we have created.”
In total, 10 North West companies were named on the Sunday Times list, including Alderley Edge-based telecoms reseller Chess (2nd), Macclesfield car finance company Zuto (18th) and employment law consultancy Peninsula Business Services (27th).
The CEO of Beaverbrooks, Anna Blackburn, said: “We’re delighted that this year we achieved our highest ever response rate to the Best Companies engagement survey which means we’ll be able to really identify what’s important to our people, which in turn will make Beaverbrooks an even better place to work where our people are inspired to be the best they can be.”
