Completion in sight for multi-million pound Salford Quays development
Work is now well underway on investment firm LiveMan Properties’ multi-million pound project to turn a historic Salford building into dozens of new homes.
Being delivered with the support of a £7.3m loan from NatWest, the project will see LiveMan transform the grade II-listed Dock Office building into 67 apartments.
LiveMan’s plans for the Art Deco-style property, which was constructed in 1927 and has stood vacant for a number of years, include a two-level roof extension.
The project is due for completion in September 2016.
Liveman Properties’ director, Michael Marsden, said: “The Salford Dock Office is an exciting development that brings a wonderful historic building back into modern use.
“With the development we have seen at Media City in recent years there is a great need for housing for professionals who want to live near their workplace.”
He added: “The team at NatWest have been fantastic to work with, offering guidance and support along the way.”
Peter Howarth, a relationship director with NatWest, supported the deal to provide the seven-figure loan.
He commented: “We were delighted to support the Salford Office Dock development.
“It is an exciting project that will enhance the local area breathing new life into a landmark asset and we look forward to supporting [the] management team at Liveman Properties in the future.”
