Clough & Willis raises over £500 for BCSU
Bury based law firm Clough & Willis staged its annual quiz last week and raised £520.00 for Bury Cancer Support Unit.
The event, which took placed at Elton Vale Sports Club, saw over 30 local business teams taking part. Rounds included Music and Pictures as well as General Knowledge.
This year’s winners were Moscrop Robinson & Chadwick who scored an impressive 50 points. This is the second year in a row they’ve come out on top. They were followed by runners-up NatWest who notched up 46 points and Handelsbanken who finished on 45 points.
Shefali Talukdar – managing partner at Clough & Willis – said: “This was our 19th year of staging the quiz and its popularity just gets stronger and stronger. It’s our way of thanking our clients and contacts and raising so much for such a worthwhile cause really was the icing on the cake. Shefali added: We can’t wait for next year and I’m sure there will be some surprises to really celebrate the quiz’s 20th birthday.“
Bury Cancer Support Centre is an independent charity which offers unlimited, individualised and integrated support for anyone whose life is affected by cancer including carers and close family. The service operates on a drop-in basis, led by practitioners trained and experienced in cancer care in order to meet the complex individual needs of patients and their loved ones at any stage of the cancer journey.
