Fletchers Solicitors only medical negligence and serious injury law firm to be named in Sunday Times' 100 Best Companies List

Fletchers Solicitors is celebrating after becoming the the only law firm, specialising exclusively in medical negligence and serious injury, to be named as a Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work for.

The Southport-based firm was awarded 82nd place at the prestigious award ceremony that took place in London last night, receiving accreditation as an ‘outstanding’ employer.

The firm fought off tough competition from over 1,000 companies to become the only specialist medical negligence and serious injury law firm to be on the highly esteemed list.

The Sunday Times praised Fletchers’ strong leadership principles and inspiring dedication to the wellbeing of its staff members. The firm ranked 32nd for leadership and 53rd for wellbeing.

The accolade follows a number of recent success stories for Fletchers – most recently the announcement that it has grown its team to 300 members of staff, up from just 112 in 2012, in its quest to become a top 100 law firm by 2018.

Last year, the law firm invested in an office expansion, taking the space from 16,000 square feet to over 24,000 square feet, to cater for the growing number of staff needed to support the additional work arising from its new marketing approach and business structure.

The annual ranking from The Sunday Times and Best Companies aims to find the most content and motivated workforces in the country. All the scores and ratings are based on employee opinions and every year the questionnaires are revised to reflect the current workplace concerns.

Ed Fletcher, CEO of Fletchers Solicitors, said: “What we’ve achieved as a firm in the past year is quite remarkable, so to be named in The Sunday Times’ Top Companies to Work for list is just the icing on the cake. To be recognised as the only specialist law firm devoted exclusively to medical negligence and serious and personal injury is even more outstanding.

“We’re aiming to achieve Top 100 law firm status by 2018, so we know attracting, and keeping, the right talent to the firm is absolutely crucial. This is a key priority for us to ensure we provide our clients with a fantastic service, as well as keeping our team here happy, motivated, and loyal.

“Our employee engagement strategy has gone from strength to strength over the past couple of years since we appointed a dedicated ‘head of people’, Sara Duxbury, to the firm in 2014. We recognise employee engagement as one of the key components of our firm’s success, so it’s fantastic that the work of Sara and the rest of the team has been recognised.”
