Netflix-inspired lifestyle subscription service Wonderush enrols over 1000 small businesses
UK online marketplace Wonderush, which aims to provide a platform for small businesses to sell services and experiences, has broken through 1000 new activity hosts.
The London-based digital firm, which launched in January, bills itself as a ‘lifestyle subscription’ service where users can book onto an unlimited amount of classes, events and experiences for £29 per month.
The service, which is currently focused on the capital, helps microbusinesses, small businesses and individuals fill up last minute or remaining tickets for their events and services which in turn are promoted through the Wonderush website.
Netflix and Spotify-style subscription model is becoming increasingly common in the tech sector, with everything from men’s shaving products to coffee available online on a subscription basis.
So common are subscription-based services becoming, that FinTech firm Invoice Cycle launched a financing option specifically for subscription businesses earlier this month.
Commenting on the business’s’ growth, Nelson Sivalingam, founder of Wonderush, said: “We’re thrilled with the growth that Wonderush has experienced over the last few months and pleased that so many great suppliers have joined Wonderush.
“The introduction of the Wonderush marketplace has been invaluable in terms of allowing providers to have the means to monetise their service online. I feel proud that Wonderush has been able to give them the platform to turn their passion into profits.
“The feedback we’ve had from activity providers has been positive with many saying their business is thriving since signing up – in one case, a class booked out within 15 minutes. We just need more suppliers to satisfy the huge surge we’ve had in subscribers. It’s a good problem to have.”
