Dacres Commercial Sells Middlesbrough Development Opportunity
Dacres Commercial has sold a substantial Victorian property in Middlesbrough that was previously home to Middlesbrough Art Gallery and will now be transformed into a stylish development of seven student apartments.
The three storey building, at 320 Linthorpe Road, sits directly opposite Albert Park and is a quarter of a mile south of Middlesbrough town centre. The building has been bought by SAS Teesside which specialise in providing students with safe, secure and affordable accommodation throughout the Teesside area.
The building offers 514 square metres (5,532 sq ft) of accommodation as well as a garage, parking area and gardens. It was on the market for offers over £400,000 and sold for £420,000.
Matthew Brear from Dacres Commercial says: “This is a prominent building in a sought after area that lent itself to a wide range of development opportunities. As a result, it attracted plenty of interest. SAS Teesside plans will breathe new life into the building, by creating a high quality student accommodation scheme, which is just a few minutes walk from Teesside University.”
