NoVate sponsor Blues' golf day
Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett swapped the football pitch for the golf course during the Club’s 2016 Golf Day in Marbella.
The Blues boss, his backroom staff and players were joined by businesses and members of the legal profession at the annual event sponsored by Novate Direct Legal Solutions.
This was the second time NoVate has sponsored the Golf Day, which was held this year at the 5 star Melia La Quinta Golf Resort. The not for profit referral company also sponsored the fiercely contested longest drive on the 15th, as well as entering two four-balls.
The two teams included No5 Chambers barristers Steven Reed, Robert Smallwood, Mike Duck QC and Nick Xydias along with clients Mark Walsh from Kennedys, Robert Wallace from Kennedys, former Man City and Arsenal player Neil Heaney from Judicare, Roger Lloyd, Acting CEO at BCFC and James Parks Senior Practice Manager at No5 and representing Novate.
The Diamond Sponsor deal aims to increase brand awareness of NoVate, which offers a friendly service designed to find the best solution to your legal problem, referring cases to specialist lawyers at no cost to the client. NoVate is supported by No5 Chambers, one of the largest sets of Chambers in the UK with more than 240 specialist barristers including 33 Queen’s Counsel.
The 2016 Golf Day was the largest BCFC has ever hosted, with more than 100 people attending. The two days of golf were rounded off with a gala dinner on Wednesday.
Barrister Michael Duck QC said: “We were delighted that NoVate again agreed to sponsor the Birmingham City FC official golf break, as it gives us an opportunity to say thank you to some of our clients, as well as raise awareness of who we are and what we do.
“We are proud to be at the heart of the Birmingham business community, and as BCFC partners are able to build on our already strong community and business links.
“This was a superb few days away that gave us a fantastic opportunity to cement those relationships, as well as enjoy some first class golf.”
