Chartered surveyor Anstey Horne strengthened with £6.5m investment from BGF
London-based chartered surveyor firm Anstey Horne has sealed £6.5m investment from Business Growth Fund (BGF).
The specialist surveying firm, who advise on rights of light and neighbourly matters amongst other general building surveying, is staffed by a team of 40 surveyors and recently opened a new office in Birmingham.
Anstey hopes to use the investment to grow its team of specialist advisors, as it looks to capitalise on 436 planned developments of 20 storeys or more in the City of London and the inevitable surveying opportunities that will stem from them.
Investment by BGF, who are backed by five big UK banks including Barclays and HSBC, was led by Mark Nunny, Will Gresty and Thomas McDonnell, and will also see the appointment of Clive R. Williams as Non-Executive Director and Chairman.
Lance Harris, Director at Anstey Horne, said: “This year, we have been busier than ever and continue to benefit from a strong pipeline. Bringing BGF on board gives us the capital to accelerate the growth we have been experiencing, at the same time as retaining control of the business.”
Mark Nunny, an Investor at BGF who will sit on the board of Anstey Horne said: “Anstey Horne has grown rapidly on the strength of its people and its brand. Lance and Graham are leaders in their field and have built an impressive team around them. Alongside Clive, we are excited to support the whole team in their next phase of growth.”
