Williamsons Solicitors open third East Yorkshire branch in Beverley

Hull-based Williamsons Solicitors has opened its third East Yorkshire branch office.

The practice has moved into premises formerly occupied by Davis Davidson Solicitors at the Tower House next to Beverley Bar.

Steven Davidson is now working with Williamsons as a senior solicitor and Mike Davis has retired, but will continue on a consultancy basis. Apart from two retirements, most of the company’s 10 employees are staying on.

Williamsons previously opened branches in Driffield in 2006 and Bridlington in 2012 after forming relationships with legal practices in the two towns.

Bill Waddington, Williamsons’ director, said: “Having a presence in Beverley means that we can now deliver services to our large client base in the town and surrounding area at a more local level.

“Our offices in Bridlington and Driffield have been successful in maintaining business and attracting new clients and we have every confidence we can also be successful in Beverley.

“We are pleased to welcome Steven Davidson and that Mike Davis will still be involved.

They are well regarded in the town, having built a large clientele over more than 20 years in partnership.“

Mr Davidson added: “It will be very much business as usual for our existing customers, with the added benefit of the extra services and resources a bigger firm like Williamsons provides.”

Sarah Clubley, Williamsons’ director said that the new branch was ideally placed close to the town centre in one if its most recognisable buildings.

She said: “It will now be a lot easier for private companies and businesses to access our range of specialist legal services.”

Tower House, which is Grade 1 listed for its exceptional interest, was built around 280 years ago and Beverley Bar, which it adjoins, dates back to the early 15th century.
