Leeds businessman creates jobs in Seacroft with new Post Office

A Leeds-based franchise owner is creating new jobs in Seacroft by incorporating a Post Office in his store, with the help of a five figure funding package from Yorkshire Bank.

Manish Patel is launching the Post Office branch in the One Stop convenience store at 14-16 Stanks Parade. The addition will create up to four new jobs, growing his team from two to six employees.

The funding for the development was arranged by Jill Sutcliffe, relationship manager at Yorkshire Bank’s Business and Private Banking Centre in Leeds, with the assistance of Debbie Horner, manager of the Seacroft branch of Yorkshire Bank, and her staff.

Manish also owns a One Stop store in Headingley, which already includes a Post Office. The success of this site encouraged him to do the same in the Stanks Parade store.

The new Post Office will open officially to the public at a special launch event on Tuesday 19th April. The first 100 customers to enter will receive a £5 voucher to spend in-store.

Manish said: “Stanks Parade needs more investment in local amenities that are within easy reach and open at times that suit customers. The new Post Office will bring a range of services to residents, creating a positive impact for the area.

“I have been a customer of Yorkshire Bank for more than 15 years and the team has always been very enthusiastic and supportive in helping me reach my business goals, offering sound advice with a personable approach.”
