Taylors Corporate Team expands

The Corporate team at commercial law firm Taylors Solicitors have re-inforced their offering with the appointment of Andy Herricks as Corporate Partner.

Most recently, Andy was a founding partner of Garricks, a niche commercial firm based in Blackburn; he also headed up the firm’s Wigan office and was responsible for promoting the firm across West Lancashire and along the East Lancashire corridor.

Andy has almost 20 years’ high-level experience in advising SME and owner-managed clients across the North West on a wide range of corporate, commercial and intellectual property matters. He works closely with accountants and bankers assisting them and their clients with all manner of transactions with particular experience in manufacturing and technology sectors.

Andy has a clear approach. He states, “I do not give black and white legal advice. I always try to be commercial and look at issues from every angle. If I have to inform a client that he cannot do something, I will also try to provide an alternative solution. The law is a business tool which all clients can work with.”

“I believe clients across the region want the same - sensible advice in clear terms at a fair price. I am a great believer in clients using local suppliers and want them to know that high level expertise is available on their doorstep and they don’t need to go to national firm advisers.”

“I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues and opening a Taylors office in Wigan to build upon my relationships with established clients, local intermediaries and the wider business community.”

Elaine Hurn, Managing Partner at Taylors Solicitors, said: “We are delighted to welcome Andy and his experience to the team. I worked with Andy when he was a young corporate solicitor and I have known him for many years. He will add a significant resource to our established team’s ability to meet increasing new client demand across our corporate and specialist commercial services.”
