White Sorrow Descends on North East

An author who is based in London, has turned to the North East for all the solutions of publishing and marketing her new book, landing three of the region’s companies a new client win.

Andrea Aviet has written a book called White Sorrow, which is based on her real life story of abuse and survival. She has written the book to motivate others to see what is happening behind closed doors. She also hopes to inspire women in the same situation to save themselves and to raise funds for the charity Refuge.

Deciding to self publish so she could keep control of what is so important to her, Andrea set out on the search for someone she could work closely with.

Her first North East appointment was Get Brindled, a Whitley Bay based agency that specialises in PR, social media and online content. Andrea said:

“When I met the owner, Antonia Brindle, I just knew she was the right person to work with me.

“She has experience of working with the right organisations such as CafCass and women’s groups. She has gone on to introduce me to some reliable and high quality companies in the North East that I am also delighted to be now working with.”

UK Book Publishing based in Whitley Bay has been appointed to design the book cover, edit, print and publish the book across a variety of platforms including Amazon Kindle and in print. Owner Dan Brady said:

“We work with many authors and publish their works, many of them personal survival stories. We were delighted to work with Andrea as her story is a harrowing, real account of a nightmare many people must live through. It is inspirational and motivational and we wish her luck once it is released later this month.”

Third but not least to win business from White Sorrow is Your Film, a Gateshead based film production company. Co-founder and managing director Matthew Newman said:

“We have done the filming now and we are currently in post-production on six excellent trailers to promote Andrea’s book. We would of course have travelled to London, but we found every location we wanted than Tynemouth and Andrea seems to have fallen in love with the region after just a couple of visits.”
