OECD creates ultimate conference room with Barco ClickShare
Barco, a global leader in professional meeting room visualization, announces that Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has selected the company’s ClickShare collaboration system for its world leading conference facilities at its Paris headquarters.
The international economic organisation, with 34 member countries, has installed 40 Clickshare solutions throughout its modern conference rooms, as part of its extensive audiovisual and multimedia services.
The OECD centre initially tested the Barco’s ClickShare collaboration system in 2015, and subsequently appointed one of Barco’s partners VIDELIO to install the solution in 40 different conference rooms. An additional 20 meeting rooms are to be installed later this year.
The OECD Conference Center features 3,000 m² of modern conference rooms equipped to the highest standards, featuring a wide range of AV and multimedia services, WiFi access and catering for the thousands of yearly delegates.
Bruno Gasquet, OECD Audiovisual Conference Systems Manager says: “Our conference center welcomes over 40,000 visitors a year and with so many people from different countries attending our meetings, it’s not easy to find a ‘one size fits all’ presentation system. Visitors often struggled with cables and adaptors and ClickShare has changed all of that.
“It’s easy to use and to set up, independently of IT security constraints and compatible with most of our devices – whether they be PC or MAC, fixed or mobile. We have replaced our VGA or HDMI cables in each conference room with a ClickShare solution and everyone who’s been using it appreciates the ease of sharing information during meetings”.
Jan Willem Brands, Barco’s VP Collaboration, said: “We are delighted that the OECD was so impressed with the performance of ClickShare during the trial stages, that 40 were then installed throughout the facility. The feedback from the delegates has been very positive and the solution has helped to transform meetings into a complete sharing experience, bringing ideas, people and content together.”
