Local Care Force announces Local Health Care Heroes

Health care recruitment agency Local Care Force, announces inaugural winner of the 2016 Health Care Hero Award.

Sheffield and Leeds residents Julie Smith and Enoch Nsenga have been selected as the first ever winners of Local Care Force’s inaugural ‘Samuel Rutsito Health Care Hero Award’. The preferred supplier of temporary and permanent staffing solutions for many large private, public and charitable organisations throughout Yorkshire, Local Care Force has recognised Julie and Enoch as stand out health care workers, who have gone the extra mile in their role over the past 12 months.

In addition to crowning its Local Health Care Heroes, Local Care Force conducted a survey amongst its 6,000 strong database of workers regarding sentiment of work satisfaction and comparisons to working for the NHS, and had some very interesting findings:

· Over 4/5 of workers are either satisfied (43.44%) or very satisfied (44.67%) working for Local Care Force

· 48% of Local Care Force workers have worked for the NHS previously

· 65% of these said that working for Local Care Force was either better (36%) or much better (29%) than working for the NHS

· Of those that said no, over a third (38%) said that they wouldn’t ever consider working for the NHS

The award’s namesake; Samuel Rutsito has worked tirelessly in health care roles at care homes, mental health units, patients homes and children’s hospitals for over 13 years. Coming to the UK from Zimbabwe in 2002 he was faced with many challenges, including cultural differences as he began his career as a support worker.

Samuel said: “I am so pleased that the Local Care Force community came out in force to vote for their Local Health Care Hero, it without a doubt highlights the lengths that these dedicated workers go to in order to make a real difference. I am thrilled for Julie and can’t think of a more fitting Local Care Force representative to receive the inaugural award!”

“In a time when many care workers in the NHS are standing up for their rights and striving for the recognition for the amazing work that they undertake, Local Care Force is proud to show our loyal workforce how thankful they are for all that they do.”

Julie and Enoch were presented with their trophy and a spa day certificate to say thank you for their hard work in going the extra mile in their role. Julie said: “I love my job and am so touched to be recognised for the work that both I and the wider team do on a daily basis. We really love what we do and it means the world to be recognised and rewarded like this.”

Local Care Force was established in 2004 and now has offices in Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester. For more information about Local Care Force, check out http://www.localcareforce.co.uk.
