Law firm celebrates promotions in 150th year

Trethowans has made a number of promotions as its team continues to expand in its 150th year.

The law firm, which has offices in Southampton, Salisbury and Poole as well as a base in Winchester, now employs more than 200 people and puts a strong focus on developing its staff.

As a result of the latest promotions Bethany Blamire and Tom Hartigan have been made Partners. Tom has worked for Trethowans for 15 years, having joined as a paralegal and working his way up the ladder to become Personal Injury Team Leader. Based in the Salisbury office, he is also a trustee of brain injury charity Headway in his spare time. Meanwhile Bethany, from the Insurance Litigation team in Southampton, has been with Trethowans for five years. She is a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel and has been listed in the prestigious Legal 500 list.

In other promotions Kate Stovold from the Southampton office has been made an Associate in the Family team. Since joining the law firm she has thrown herself into her role, playing an active role in a number of committees both inside and outside of the office. Tom Mitchell from the Commercial Property team has also been made an Associate after going the extra mile in his role and continuing to exceed expectations.

Meanwhile, two existing Associates have been promoted to Senior Associates. James Braund, Personal Injury Lawyer, has impressed the board so much over recent years that he is now leading the Firm’s personal injury services in the Poole office.

His colleague, Rhiannon Daniel from the Salisbury office, has also been made a Senior Associate in the personal injury team after consistently surpassing all targets.

Chris Whiteley, Managing Partner at Trethowans, said: “We firmly believe in supporting everyone to develop their careers. These latest promotions are an example of how the continued growth of the Firm can provide opportunities for people to realise their career aspirations. Congratulations to all of them on their recent promotions.”
