Housebuilder Russell Armer secures £2.05m funding for Kendal residential project
Housebuilding firm Russell Armer Ltd is delivering a multi-million pound housing scheme in Cumbria with seven-figure support from NatWest.
The South Lakeland firm has begun work on an 18-unit residential development on Brigsteer Road in Kendal, on the site of the Tenterfield building, after securing a £2.05m loan to fund the project.
Encompassing a mix of newbuilds and conversions, the scheme will see a former NHS building transformed into three houses and seven apartments, with a further eight houses to be built on the surrounding land.
Russell Armer’s managing director, Martyn Nicholson, said: “The project at Tenterfield will see the creation of new housing in a highly sought after area.
“The development will bring the Tenterfield building back into use and create much-needed housing in a popular area.”
He added: “We have had great support from the team at NatWest who understand our goals and business aspirations.”
Gavin Deakin, a director of real estate with NatWest, said Russell Armer boasts a long history of delivering “excellent” residential projects, meeting the housing needs of the regions within which it operates.
He continued: “This new development at Tenterfield is another example of this commitment. We wish the business every success for the future.”
