Rachel Lasham (46) and Head of Lower Sixth and Head of Modern Languages at Abbey College Manchester, recently celebrated the successful completion of a high level leadership course.
On completing the Post Graduate Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, Rachel was presented with the award certificate at a prestigious event in Marylebone, Central London.
Rachel has worked at Abbey College Manchester for 7 years, and is very much now looking forward to putting the knowledge she has built up into practice.
She explains: “As well as gaining an understanding of different leadership styles and their impact on organisational culture and development, completing the course has increased my self-awareness and ability to lead and inspire others in my Head of Year role.
“Learning about project management and linking theory to practice has enabled me develop systems to support the students and find innovative ways of developing their skills and confidence. The training I have received has inspired me to continue my leadership journey and develop my role further.
