London minicab firm Addison Lee to launch in Greater Manchester
Addison Lee, one of the biggest minicab operators in Europe, is launching in Greater Manchester.
The expansion, which will be Addison Lee’s first UK operation outside London, will see the firm establish a North West HQ in Cheadle for handling sales, account management, fleet operations and local driver recruitment and training.
Addison Lee’s general manager for the North West, David Cederholm, said: “It’s a great opportunity to increase choice for both business and consumer passengers, who will be able to book quality and reliable cars wherever they want to go in the area, quickly and easily.
“Our liveried vehicles have become an iconic sight on London’s streets, we hope they will become a familiar sight in Greater Manchester.”
The company has said its service will appeal to “all businesses across all sectors”, with its staff working with firms to control travel costs and provide access to UK-wide car services.
Speaking further, David said: “For business customers there is the added reassurance that we already work with 23k business customers, have dedicated relationship managers and our software integrates with expense management systems.”
The move into Greater Manchester comes as Addison Lee prepares to introduce its app to 25 cities by the end of 2016.
