Asons Solicitors to become “big employer” at new Bolton HQ
North West law firm Asons Solicitors has moved into its new HQ at Newspaper House.
Asons purchased the offices, which formerly housed The Bolton News, for £1.1m as a freehold investment.
The company is now working on expanding its team at the site, having recently launched a new holiday illness claims department and appointed three new members of staff.
Newspaper House is a detached, four-storey property located at 40 Churchgate, Bolton, and comprising 25,130 sq ft of floor space. The building was refurbished for Asons to include a pool table, newly fitted kitchens, four meeting rooms, a faith room and a rooftop lounge garden.
The site’s ground floor also has vacant space that Asons will offer for use as a restaurant to interested bidders.
Commenting on the firm’s new HQ, Asons CEO Dr Imran Akram said: “This is a positive move for Asons and for Bolton.
“Our aim is to become a big employer for local people and further our investment into the Bolton economy.”
He continued: “The new offices have been designed to meet modern working environment ideas that we have taken from the likes of Google, Skype and Facebook, like the Asons Hangout and Asons chat wall, where people can scribble their thoughts.”
