This week’s Yorkshire appointments

Law firm Ward Hadaway has strengthened its personal legal services in Yorkshire with the recruitment of experienced family lawyer Andrea Dyer.

Andrea joins the Leeds office Ward Hadaway as a partner with more than 25 years’ experience representing clients in a full range of family law issues.

Her work covers a broad spectrum of family law matters including complex financial settlements, pre and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation disputes and children issues.

Andrea has particular expertise advising on divorce and financial issues and represents a variety of professional and private clients.

She is regularly instructed by high net worth clients, often in the owner-managed business sector, and has advised on a number of high value divorce cases.

Nathan Bentley, LCF Law

LCF Law has expanded its dental law team with the appointment of associate solicitor Nathan Bentley who specialises in the sector.

Nathan joins from a Leeds firm where he spent two years working for dentists and dental practices. He will work alongside partner Susan Clark who heads up LCF Law’s corporate division and its experienced healthcare team.

Susan said: “Nathan’s experience and skill set means he is a valuable addition to our busy and successful team. He will particularly focus on supporting our dental clients advising upon dental practice sales and purchases.

“Nathan joining us follows the recent appointment of a solicitor that specialises in the retail sector, and we will continue to search for and find new talent to support our ever expanding client base across a whole range of sectors.”

Nathan will be based at the firm’s Sovereign Street office in central Leeds.

Chloe Horrocks, hlw Keeble Hawson

hlw Keeble Hawson has further boosted its corporate team with the appointment of a specialist intellectual property (IP) and IT solicitor.

Chloe Horrocks has amassed a wealth of commercial experience working for FTSE 100 companies on wide-ranging agreements as an outsourced extension of their in-house legal teams.

Her remit at hlw Keeble Hawson, which has offices in Sheffield, Leeds and Doncaster, entails advising mainly private companies on a variety of IT, commercial and intellectual property issues, including copyright, trade mark registrations and oppositions and design rights.

Paul Beaumont, SES Engineering Services (SES)

SES Engineering Services (SES) has announced a key appointment in its Yorkshire region.

Paul Beaumont has recently been appointed to the key role of operations manager for SES’ York office.

Paul, who has worked in the building services sector for 30 years having worked in an operational role for a national contractor and more recently worked on projects in London, is returning to Yorkshire, bringing with him extensive experience of delivering major projects such as the £60M Pontefract Hospital, the £200m Featherstone Prison in Wolverhampton and a £100M training facility for Manchester City Football Club.

He will support regional director for Yorkshire and the North East, Steve Joyce and the team. Steve Joyce said: “I am delighted to announce this latest appointment to the senior management team in York.

“Paul’s industry knowledge and experience will add further depth and strength to our existing team of industry professionals and I’m confident in his ability to support the office’s continued success.

Vickie Rogerson, Lucre

Lucre has strengthened its food and drink offering with new appointments and promotions across the agency.

Vickie Rogerson, formerly Head of Food PR at Asda, brings 20 years’ experience in the retail and FMCG industry to the agency.

Rogerson’s knowledge and experience of the retail sector includes launching Asda’s Wonky Veg range, developing a cheese range with Alex James and bringing thousands of its own label food and drink products to market.

She has previously worked at PR agencies across a host of nationally-recognised brands, including Pork Farms, Butterkist, Quorn, Ben & Jerry’s, Seabrook Crisps and Onken.

Further strengthening the team is the appointment of account manager, Ali Gwynne, to its London office, and the promotion of three of its Leeds-based senior account executives to the role of account manager; Brett Cullen, Lucy Kitching and Nick Horbowyj.

In addition, three entry-level account executive roles have been created across its two offices.

Adrian Green, Unity Homes and Enterprise

Leeds-based Unity Homes and Enterprise has appointed a commercial manager to oversee its business and enterprise centres.

Adrian Green joins the not-for-profit organisation after filling a range of client-facing roles with major private sector employers including Jay Tee Group, Bank of Scotland and Yorkshire Bank.

Unity currently provides 130 managed workspaces for around 80 local businesses in three facilities – Unity Business Centre, Chapeltown Enterprise Centre and Leeds Media Centre – close to the city centre.

Mr Green, who takes up the reins as enterprise manager, said: “Unity was set up almost 30 years ago to serve local housing needs, but is now much more than a provider of high quality affordable homes.

“Unity Enterprise was established as a subsidiary company in 2000 to support local entrepreneurial activity and invest in social and economic regeneration. Our three centres are pivotal to achieving these objectives and it is vital that they function at their optimum.

Martha Phillips, Source Marketing Communications

Leeds-based Source Marketing Communications has promoted Martha Phillips to director.

Martha joined the Leeds-based PR agency in May 2015 and during that time has played a key role in growing existing client accounts and winning new business, most notably through her social media and online PR expertise.
