PKF Cooper Parry welcomes latest wave of talent

After offering full-time jobs to all eight of last year’s interns, PKF Cooper Parry continues to nurture new talent by welcoming another 10 interns across the East and West Midlands.

The launch of the first PKF Cooper Parry internship programme 12 months ago proved a tremendous success. And as well as retaining top talent, the Midlands firm continues to invest in attracting the next generation.

The internship programme is designed to give the interns a broad range of experience and they will have the chance to work across all areas of the business throughout their stay. They will also be supported with personal development and professional training opportunities.

The interns will have responsibility and the freedom to make decisions, as well as the chance to meet and speak with senior leaders and people throughout the PKF network. The internship will begin with an induction on the firm’s culture and working environment.

The interns were recruited following a rigorous selection process. They will join a forward-thinking firm that offers lots of employee benefits, including unlimited paid holiday, an email curfew between 7pm and 7am and a fun, creative office space for people to do their best work.

The East Midlands team is set to welcome Samantha Galligan, Charlotte Taylor, Matthew Holmes, Kassim Yasin, Rachael McQuaid, Amardeep Atwal and Revekka Katsounotou.

Placements in the East Midlands will consist of three month rotations across the restructuring and wealth teams, tax and audit teams. Two six month placements have also been made available in the tax and audit teams. Interns will also spend a short time working in the firm’s support teams, notably HR, marketing and internal finance.

Joining the West Midlands team are Amy Mayer, Jack Harris and Sam Lacey, who will be working across the corporate finance, tax and audit divisions. Each intern will be placed on a four-month rotation across the three sectors to make up their 12-month placement.

Commenting on the new recruits, Ade Cheatham, CEO at PKF Cooper Parry said:

“Last year’s interns were a hugely talented group who worked really hard during their time with us, resulting in eight of them being offered full-time roles in our East and West Midlands offices.

“There has been an unprecedented level of interest in this year’s scheme, with a lot of competition from across the region. We have seen some strong talent coming through the assessment stages and look forward to working with our new recruits to help develop their potential.”

Announcements on the next PKF Cooper Parry internship programme will be made on the firm’s website and social media. Visit http://www.pkfcooperparry.com/ to find links to their Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn profiles.

PKF Cooper Parry is one of the largest independent firms of business advisers in the Midlands with an established track record of helping local businesses and private clients in the UK and internationally.

The firm acts for more locally owned private businesses in the Midlands with a turnover in excess of £5m than any other accounting, tax and advisory firm.

In January 2016 the firm merged with established Birmingham accountants Clement Keys to create a £30m turnover group with a 350 strong workforce spanning the East and West Midlands.
