Solicitor at Slater Heelis successfully takes on cycle challenge
Daniel Wise, associate solicitor at Manchester and Cheshire based law firm Slater Heelis LLP has completed a gruelling 100 mile cycle challenge in aid of charity.
Money raised from the challenge will go to Act4Africa, a health and education charity that provides education and gender justice as well as providing HIV prevention services.
Daniel and his team of cyclist friends raised money specifically for the charity’s ‘Kathy’s Fund’ which aims to raise £30,000 to build an education facility which will provide education, counselling, advice and health support to women in the Mayuge District, Uganda.
Daniel and his friends completed the 100 mile route in London, cycling the same Road Race route followed by athletes in the 2012 London Olympics.
Daniel said:
“I’m delighted to have completed the 100 mile cycle challenge and I’m proud to have raised money for Act4Africa and supported the vital work they do. I’ve had brilliant support from my family and friends as well as my colleagues at Slater Heelis.”
