Flip Out Chester trampoline park to create 100 jobs

The owners of Flip Out Chester have secured planning consent for a new 53,000 sq ft trampoline attraction at 1A Chester Gates Business Park.

Having received the go-ahead from Cheshire West and Chester Council, the company will now invest £2.5m to bring its plans to fruition.

Flip Out Chester, which is due to create as many as 100 jobs when it opens later this year, will offer hourly trampolining sessions, ‘Flip Fit’ fitness circuits, ‘Little Ninja’ classes for children and after-dark sessions with a DJ and light show.

Businessmen Matthew Melling and Elliott Shuttleworth, who launched the UK’s first Flip Out centre in Stoke last year, are the minds behind the Chester arena.

Director Matthew said: “We’re so excited to be bringing Flip Out to Chester. Feedback from all our customers over at Stoke has been amazing – with over 500 five-star reviews and people praising our team members who always go out of their way to ensure everyone has a good time in a really fun atmosphere.

“This is exactly the approach we will bring to Chester and we can’t wait to show people how we are different to other trampoline arenas out there.”

Speaking further, Matthew said the Chester site will be twice as large as its Staffordshire counterpart and include foam pits, wall-to-wall trampolines, a basketball slam dunk court and a café.

Trampoline park operator Flip Out first launched in Australia and today operates facilities in India, Mexico, Scandinavia, New Zealand, Dubai and elsewhere.

Since its opening in December 2015, Flip Out Stoke has attracted more than 320k visitors.
