Last chance to register for TechTrade

Registration still open for brand new September tech event

There is now less than one week to go until the inaugural Techtrade Yorkshire (TY16) takes place at Elland Road, Leeds on Thursday 8 September. And time is running out to register for free attendance.

Set to focus on how tech can transform organisations’ productivity, efficiency and innovation, the event will welcome senior IT professionals from throughout the region, whether they have tech responsibilities in a microbusiness, a multinational, or anything in between. It will not only play host to over 60 exhibitors, including Yorkshire Digital, the Intellectual Property Office, and Ucan Recycling, it will also showcase a range of thought-leading seminars throughout the day.

These will include 14 WIFLE – What I Feel Like Expressing – talks which will each last 10 minutes and cover topics ranging from innovation with data and a virtual workforce, through to cyber security and tech tips. The speakers span a wide range of Yorkshire’s digital experts, including Tim Bennett, director of myCloud Media; Richard Carter, Chief Executive of Nostrum Group; and David Turner, CEO of Codera Ltd.

A jam-packed programme of more in-depth seminars will also run during the event with yet more high-profile speakers in the line up. Topics include how to bring innovation into a company, and how to transform the way you work, with speakers including James Akrigg, Head of Technology for Partners at Microsoft, and Natasha Sayce-Zelem, Head of Technology for Digital Trading at Sky.

Techtrade Yorkshire is the brainchild of Mooncas, the same team who successfully hosted the Manufactured Yorkshire event in early May. Commenting on TY16, Chrissie Gale, founder and managing director of Mooncas said: “Yorkshire is fast becoming renowned for its digital prowess, with some of the country’s most prolific technological talent based here in the region. This event is designed to bring that community together, to help unlock the county’s further potential for growth.

Chrissie summarises: “Delegate registration is free, so I encourage IT professionals and those with a role in the sector, to register before it’s too late. This is a really focused programme, dedicated to skills and knowledge development within this arena.”
