Salford construction company ForWorks snaps up £15.6m contract
Building firm ForWorks has nabbed a £15.6m grounds maintenance contract in Salford.
The work will see the North West firm managing over 500 sites across the city for City West Housing Trust, delivering green space and hedge maintenance, shrubbery and playground inspections, and other operational work.
The ForWorks team will also develop new and existing sites for City West to enhance the local environment.
Running over the next 13 years, the contract will allow ForWorks to create three apprenticeship positions within its grounds maintenance team. Additionally, the Salford-based company will take on 18 staff currently employed by Salford City Council.
ForWorks’ business development and commercial director, Henry Terefenko, said: “This is another major contract that will allow ForWorks to continue our impressive growth in 2016.
“Our team brings a wealth of experience in working in the heart of communities across the North West while delivering a first class service for our customers.”
ForWorks said it has experienced “unprecedented growth” so far in 2016, having handed over its first newbuild development schemes and secured a place on three large frameworks.
