Lucy Worrall rated Top Tier by Legal 500
Lucy Worrall, Partner and Head of Housing and Regeneration at Forbes Solicitors, has been recommended as one of the UK’s elite “Leading Lawyers” in the 2016 Legal 500 rankings.
Lucy, based in Preston, has been included in the list for her work in Real Estate and Social Housing and the newly-published rankings praised her work as “exceptional”.
Legal 500 has also elevated Forbes’ Social Housing team into its top tier Band 1 of legal firms, describing them as “holistic, fastidious and effective.”
The Legal 500 United Kingdom is “the leading guide to law firms in the UK” and the global Legal 500 website receives over four million visitors each year.
Its research process involves inviting submissions from law firms across the UK. Clients listed in submissions are then contacted for references and researchers conduct interviews with firms as appropriate.
Lucy’s accolade was one of 31 recommendations of Forbes lawyers and services in the 2016 Legal 500.
Forbes is one of the leading law firms in the North with 320 staff including 39 partners and nine offices.
Office locations include Manchester, Leeds, Preston, Blackburn, Accrington, Central Lancashire, Chorley.
Lucy is a specialist housing and regeneration property lawyer, whose specialism lies in acting for housing associations in connection with development and regeneration, site acquisitions, development agreements, joint ventures, s106 Agreements, infrastructure agreements, easements, property sales and acquisitions.
She also specialises in shared ownership, nomination agreements, supported housing schemes and leases, service level and management agreements, green energy retrofit schemes, right to buy, right to acquire and stock transfers.
Lucy is past Chair of The Association of Women in Property North West, is a past board member of Your Tung Sing, was named Lawyer of the Year at the Women in Construction Awards 2012 and is also ranked in Band 1 in Chambers.
She said: “This ranking reflects the position of Forbes within the housing sector as a leading firm as we have a highly specialist team of lawyers dealing with a wide range of housing and regeneration work on a national basis with client service which is second to none”.
The Legal 500 2016 rankings recommended Forbes in the North West for its work in the following areas: Social Housing, Corporate & Commercial, Crime, Dispute Resolution, Human Resources, Insurance, Private Client: Family, Private Client: Wills, Public Sector: Local Government, Real Estate: Commercial Property and Real Estate: Property Litigation. It has also been recommended for Insurance in the Yorkshire & the Humber region.
Eighteen Forbes solicitors are also included in the list of recommended lawyers.
