Elyse Lawrence and Gaia Hudson, Sleeky

Blaydon-based design company Sleeky, which specialises in website design, digital marketing and graphic design, has appointed Elyse Lawrence as a graphic designer and Gaia Hudson as an account manager.

Gaia joins the business with a background in marketing and account management, having previously worked for a Newcastle-based marketing agency, an executive recruitment company and a leading sportwear brand, where she supported clothing and apparel launches across Europe.

“Sleeky is a business that puts creativity and originality first,” Gaia commented. “I can’t wait to work with new and established businesses to help them shout about what they do.”

“For many companies their website is their shop window, and there are more factors than ever to consider” Gaia continued. “As well as design we specialise in SEO and digital marketing, so we can really help to grow both on and offline presence.”

Sleeky works with a range of regional and national clients such as Tynemouth Coffee Company, Nudo Sushi Box and Bakers Pantry.

Sunderland-based Elyse studied Graphic Design at Newcastle College before completing an apprenticeship through a regional training provider. She brings her unique brand of creativity and individuality to the table, ensuring that clients get fresh, innovative designs.

Elyse commented: “I’m enjoying working on lots of different projects for clients across the North East. At the moment I’m working with a leading Estate Agency on a brand new business concept which has kept me busy.”

Glyn Elrington, Perfect Image

North East technology solutions provider Perfect Image has appointed Glyn Elrington as Head of Account Management.

Working from Perfect Image’s offices on the Cobalt Business Park in North Tyneside, Glyn will be responsible for looking after the business’ clients as well as relationship building.

She said: “Joining Perfect Image has been very exciting and I am thoroughly enjoying getting to know the clients and building relationships with them.

“It is my aim to strengthen Perfect Image’s position as a company that isn’t just good at what it does, but builds trust so that when a client needs any type of IT service, the first name they think of is Perfect Image.”

Victoria Ross, Karol Marketing

Newcastle-based PR and marketing consultancy Karol Marketing has appointed Victoria Ross as Head of Corporate Communications & Crisis Management.

In her new role, Vicky will lead a number of key corporate and B2B client accounts and support new business, as well as join the agency’s leadership team.

An experienced crisis communications professional, Vicky has advised leading national and international brands on the effective management of issues and crises and regularly facilitates crisis preparedness and media training for senior executives.

She said: “I’m delighted to be joining the team at Karol Marketing Group at this exciting time.

“The agency has proven track record of delivering great results for their clients and a commitment to combining outstanding creativity with excellent client service that is second to none. I’m looking forward to working with Stefan and the team to expand our capabilities and client offer.”

Clare Sangster, Jackson Hogg

Newcastle recruitment firm Jackson Hogg has appointed Clare Sangster as a senior recruitment consultant

Clare, who has 13 years’ experience within the recruitment industry, specialises in the placement of engineers and skilled professionals into manufacturing, engineering and technical environments.

She said: “I am delighted to join the Jackson Hogg team, its relationship based approach to recruitment means its clients find the right people for the job.

“I hope by adding my experience to the company it will see further growth in the Engineering, Manufacturing and Technology sectors.”

Advantex Network Solutions Ltd has made a raft of new hires.

The firm has appointed Dean Cowens, who has over 15 years’ experience in the IT sector, as sales manager.

Dean will be working alongside chartered accountant Celia Yeates, who joins as new finance manager together with new accounts assistants Gemma Barker and Ryan Masters.

Celia Yeates brings more than 10 years of experience to the role, and will be working on financial planning and management as the firm expands on the back of a strategy that will see continued investment in new technologies and services.

The Follingsby Park-based company has also appointed Dan Baird and Nick Scott as communications engineers, who bring a combined 30 years’ experience and skills in communications and networking systems and technologies to the roles.

Also joining are new IT engineers Chris Airey and Andrew Simpson; and IT apprentice Nathan Colquhoun. Within the Operations Department, operations administrator Julie Lamb; storeman Jason Lilly; and new project managers Oli Atkins and Graeme Dalkin are new starters.

Tom Teigeler, Ebac

Ebac has appointed Tom Teigeler as an international sales manager for its water cooler and dehumidifier divisions.

Tom, an experienced sales professional and business specialist with more than 15 years of international expertise, will be based in Belgium, to help the firm expand its business to business sales of water coolers and business to consumer sales of dehumidifiers.

Tom said “It’s a great opportunity with Ebac, a strong, added value, manufacturer. And I’m excited to help it expand into international markets.

“I have spent all my career in international consumer electronics sales. I have been based in many countries and had various positions in sales and marketing management and I’m using that expertise to help move Ebac forward into an international market.”

Amy Keily-Jones and Emily Leonard, Provide Education

Teesside recruitment agency Provide Education has appointed two new members of staff to its regional office.

Amy Keily-Jones, education consultant, and Emily Leonard, administrator, have joined the team at the newly-opened branch office at the Belasis Technology Business Park in Billingham.

The duo will work with schools and job candidates across Middlesbrough, Stockton, Cleveland and Redcar, Darlington, Durham, Hartlepool, Newcastle, and Sunderland.

Casey Bullen, senior branch consultant at Provide Education’s Teesside office, said: “Amy and Emily join us at a really busy time and we’re delighted to have them on board.

“We’ve only been working with schools and teachers in the North East since August, but we’ve had a fantastic start to the new academic year and are looking forward to continuing our early success in the region.”
