Simon Stell named Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year

Simon Stell, who is Managing Partner of LCF Law, has been named as the Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year at the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2016, which were held at New Dock Hall in Leeds.

The awards, which are run by the publishers of Leeds & Yorkshire Lawyer magazine, bring together the region’s legal community to recognise and celebrate the achievements of its talented professionals who operate throughout the region.

Over 500 people attended the sold-out award ceremony which had 19 award categories open to all in the Yorkshire legal profession from the region’s largest corporate firms to leading barristers covering such as law firm of the year through rising star to managing partner of the year. The awards were judged by a prestigious panel of legal experts from the Yorkshire legal community.

The Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year winner cannot be nominated, but is chosen by the judging panel and announced on the night.

Chair of the judging panel Marilyn Stowe from Stowe Family Law said: “Simon embodies all that is best about Yorkshire, unfailingly courteous and polite. He is great example of what every solicitor should be”.

Simon Stell says: “I am honoured to receive the Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year Award. It is a testament to the hard work and the tremendous commitment to our clients of all the partners and staff at LCF Law to receive such recognition. We have created a very special law firm.”
