Switalskis Solicitors set to hit ‘growth objectives’ following new acquisition

Switalskis Solicitors has completed the acquisition of hlw Keeble Hawson’s Clinical Negligence and Brain Injury departments.

Switalskis will take on hlw Keeble Hawson’s 16-strong clinical negligence and brain injury team, which will be headed by Janet Baker and Mark Hollinghurst.

Paul Trudgill, hlw Keeble Hawson managing partner, said: “The development follows a strategic review, which determined that the particular requirements for clinical negligence and brain injury cases are best delivered by Switalskis, which has a strong focus on these specialisms.

“The move paves the way for us to consolidate our core skills and strengths as a key player - as reinforced in the latest Legal 500 Guide - across our corporate, commercial and private client departments.

“We are very grateful to Janet and Mark and their teams for their fantastic contribution and commitment to the firm and wish them continued success with Switalskis.”

John Durkan, Switalskis managing partner, added: “The acquisition highly complements our growth objectives and comes shortly after our Clinical Negligence team scooped the Dispute Resolution award in the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2016.

“Janet and Mark boast impressive track records and we very much look forward to working with them and their talented teams.”

With more than 200 years of history, hlw Keeble Hawson has offices in Leeds, Sheffield and Doncaster.
