Trotter’s Traders to create 20 new jobs with £1m investment in new Scunthorpe store
Trotter’s Traders is undertaking a £1m investment programme as it is set to open a new store in Scunthorpe, with support from NatWest.
The discount retailer sells a wide range of products, including food, hardware, tooling, toys, stationery, pet supplies, household goods and toiletries, gardening and seasonal items.
Established in 2008, Trotter’s Traders currently employs 25 people.
Around 20 new jobs are to be created with the opening of the new Scunthorpe branch, which is located on Brigg Road and will open this winter.
Trotter’s Traders also has stores in Grimsby, Louth, Skegness and Mablethorpe.
Dougie Wadham, managing director of Trotter’s Traders, said: “We are very excited to be opening our first store in Scunthorpe in the run up to Christmas.
“At Trotter’s Traders we are committed to providing customers with a range of products at reasonable prices, for any occasion.
“We are delighted with our new business relationship with NatWest. Our Relationship Director, David Rogers, understands how a business like ours operates and was able to provide us with a funding solution to meet our needs.”
David added: “Trotter’s Traders has experienced steady growth in recent years and the addition of the store in Scunthorpe is an asset to the local community as well as to the business.
“We look forward to continuing to work closely with Dougie and the management team in the future.”
