Winns Supports Headway at the 2016 WonderLAN Ball
The evening will be held on 10th November at The Great North Museum, Newcastle, and will consist of dinner followed by plenty of entertainment and surprises. The event will raise funds for Headway’s annual Look Ahead in the North (LAN) event.
This year’s theme is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, promising a night of mouth-watering splendour, filled with Oompa Loompas, Wangdoodles, Hornswogglers, Vermicious Knids and special guest performer Marc Almond – Soft Cell’s former front man!
Headway is a registered charity that works tirelessly to increase awareness and understanding of brain injury, along with assisting people with injuries to return to the community while supporting their families and carers.
There are groups across the UK, and at the nine Headway groups in the North East the emphasis is on providing this service to support the local community.
The LAN weekend takes members who have suffered a brain injury, and their carers, to the Calvert Trust at Kielder Forest for an unforgettable weekend of outdoor activities – an experience which makes a huge difference to its members.
