Owner of Piste Wine Bar & Restaurant in Tarporley acquires second dining venue
The restaurateur behind Piste Wine Bar & Restaurant in Tarporley, Cheshire, has acquired an eatery in Sandbach.
Owner James Hughes said he plans to gives Folks, located at 45 High Street, a “significant refit” to bring the venue in line with the Piste brand.
The restaurant was marketed off a guide price of £340k and houses 78 covers along with a patio area to the front and rear.
Leisure property firm Fleurets brokered the deal on behalf of former owner Phil Nuttall.
Commenting on the sale, Phil said: “I am not a leisure operator. The building has been in our family for a number of years but my main business is car sales.
“I am the MD of Motor Save Direct Limited, which is a car supermarket based in Crewe, Cheshire.”
He added: “I felt I would be better selling Folks and releasing funds to put into my main business where I could make a better return.”
The transaction marks Piste’s second site.
James commented: “We’re thrilled to be taking on The Folks in Sandbach.
“We have Piste Wine Bar & Restaurant in Tarporley presently and are looking to take our brand forward.”
He continued: “We love the building and the area and after a significant refit we’re looking forward to opening.
