Another top accolade for Teesside legal firm

Endeavour Partnership has become the only Teesside firm to be listed in the prestigious Chambers and Partners Guide for 2016/2017.

The guide ranked Endeavour, based at Teesdale in Stockton, in the recommended firms for its Corporate, Commercial Property and Insolvency teams, as well as for a number of its staff.

Chambers and Partners is an influential industry guide to help individuals and businesses make informed choices when selecting a legal firm.

The guide highlighted Endeavour Partnership’s Corporate team’s reputation as a niche corporate firm with a strong reputation across Teesside, advising a range of clients from SMEs to multinational corporates in sectors including banking and manufacturing.

Key staff were also recognised for their skills including Nik Tunley, who leads the Corporate team, who was described in the guide as ‘commercially-minded’ and a ‘deal-maker’. Nik acts for a number of banks, private equity houses and crowdfunding platforms across a variety of significant transactions with clients including HSBC, Santander, Esco Corporation and Visualsoft.

Managing partner, Paul Bury, was also recognised by the Chambers and Partners Guide as ‘an experienced partner who advises on strategic disposals, governance and a range of other corporate and commercial matters’.

Endeavour Partnership’s Commercial Property team was also ranked for its expertise in investments and developments, particularly in retail, agriculture, waste management and industrial sectors, as well as property finance.

Head of the team, Simon Wake, was ranked as a notable practitioner thanks to his extensive experience working with clients such as Atkinson Northern, Leven Investments and Cavendish Northern.

In addition, Endeavour’s Insolvency team is also included in the new guide and is praised for advising businesses and individuals on a wide range of matters such as bankruptcies and liquidations, as well as asset recovery and on purchases and sales of distressed assets.

Head of the team, Lee Bramley, was highlighted for his work with insolvency practitioners and businesses on contentious insolvencies.

Manging partner, Paul Bury, said: “Being ranked as one of the best firms in the North East is something we should all be proud of and something that would not be possible without the input and efforts of everyone in our team. We’re competing now with some of the largest and longest established firms across the North of England, often being ranked higher for some of our skills. It’s a great accolade for Endeavour Partnership and something we will strive to build on throughout the firm in the coming months.”

This recent accolade follows a successful year for Endeavour Partnership which was also recognised as one of the North East’s leading corporate and commercial practices in the Legal 500.

The firm employs a team of 50 and has a reputation spanning over 16 years, providing expert advice on a range of business law matters including mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, employment, commercial property and corporate recovery and insolvency from its headquarters at Teesdale in Stockton.
