Czajka Care Group Launches JobCentre Plus Partnership

SALTAIRE based Czajka Care Group has launched an innovative partnership with JobCentre Plus to help tackle the shortage of new workers entering the care industry.

The initiative enables people who have expressed an interest in working in care, to complete a six week supervised work placement at one of Czajka Care Group’s five care and nursing homes, throughout Nab Wood and the Aire Valley. All age groups can apply for the initiative which is available at JobCentre Plus offices throughout Bradford, Skipton and Keighley.

John Carrington from Czajka Care Group says: “We currently employ a 350 strong team and are always keen to attract new talent into our business. Working closely with JobCentre Plus on this new scheme will enable us to reach a vast pool of people who have previously expressed an interest in joining our industry, as well as supporting them as they embark on a rewarding and challenging career.

“At the end of the six week placement, we’ll have the opportunity to offer permanent positions to the candidates who meet the required standard and decide that it is the right job for them. Everyone joining us receives an unrivalled standard of training at our in-house training centre, across a wide range of courses, and there are plenty of progression opportunities across all areas of the care industry.”

Stephen Byrd from JobCentre Plus, says: “We are delighted to be working with Czajka Care Group on this initiative. It offers people the opportunity to undertake training alongside a meaningful work placement, and to get a real feel for what the care industry has to offer as a career route.”

Czajka Care Group owns and operates Fairmount Nursing Home, Brookfield Care Home and Staveley Birk Leas Nursing Home, which are all in Nab Wood near Shipley, as well as Currergate Nursing Home in Steeton and Beanlands Nursing Home in Cross Hills. Czajka also provides purpose built retirement homes and operates The Clubhouse at Fairmount Park, which is a members only club with a wide range of leisure facilities.
