Next phase of Whitehall Riverside development in Leeds moves forward
Town Centre Securities (TCS), the Leeds-based property investment and development company, is going ahead with the next phase of the Whitehall Riverside development in central Leeds.
TCS recently submitted a reserved matters application that enables the developer to react quickly to potential occupiers.
The decision to make the application and move TCS’s existing outline permission forwards has been prompted by the current Government Property Unit’s requirement that has shortlisted the riverside location.
Current plans include up to 320,000 sq ft of office space in addition to a multi-storey car park with over 500 spaces, which will be operated by TCS subsidiary, CitiPark.
Edward Ziff, chairman and chief executive of Town Centre Securities, said: “The Whitehall Riverside area is an exceptional business location with connectivity to the Railway Station, retail quarter and a premier business community.
“We feel fortunate to have been given the recent opportunity to present to the GPU and look forward to our discussions continuing to the next stage.
“With one of the only remaining riverside opportunities in the city we strongly believe we have a unique proposition for occupiers”.
