Northumbria University opens doors for twilight open day
A series of popular events showcasing what Northumbria University has to offer will draw to a close with a festive finale.
On 7 December students and their parents can dodge the throng of late night shoppers and instead take advantage of the university’s after hours undergraduate open evening.
Having recently ranked ‘Top 20 in the UK for student experience’ in the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2015-16, Northumbria promises a university experience unlike any other.
Alongside tours of the campus, lecture taster sessions and hearing first hand from current students and academics there will be festive refreshments for would-be 2017 undergraduates.
With the UCAS deadline looming early in the new year, the event is the last opportunity for many to experience what student life at Northumbria University would be like.
After welcoming thousands to the campus during its open days in September, October and November, the team is expecting a busy turnout as they open their doors for a final time this year.
Helen Bower, Northumbria’s Assistant Marketing Director for Undergraduate Students, said: “The way that prospective students are going about getting information to inform their choice of University is changing all the time.
“Already this year we have carried out a range of outreach activities in schools as well as ‘pop-up’ Open Days in Leeds and Liverpool, alongside our traditional events here in Newcastle.
“Our Open Evening responds further to the needs of prospective students, providing them with a great opportunity to come along after school, college or work to see what Northumbria University has to offer.”
The open evening will be held from 4pm until 7pm at City Campus East.
