Robertson Yorkshire and East Midlands hits £25m revenue mark in first full year

Robertson Yorkshire and East Midlands, the Sheffield-based business arm of the £450m turnover infrastructure group Robertson, has reported a £25m turnover in its first year.

The company, operating from Thorncliffe Business Park, was established in May 2015, with £9m of revenues secured before its official launch and now employs 32 people.

It has secured its business plan target of £25m for 2016, along with a pipeline of new opportunities.

He said: “We are proud to have made such strong progress. The team’s cross-sector experience enables us to take on a broad range of projects and we’ve already gained real traction in the student accommodation, residential and education sectors.”

To date, Robertson Yorkshire and East Midlands has completed numerous projects including Goldthorpe Primary School, a Premier Inn hotel in Matlock and a student accommodation project at Portobello Street in Sheffield.

Works are on track delivering both Talbot House £20m student accommodation in Nottingham and the £6m Lawrence St Student Accommodation in York (completion expected July 2017).

The Stirling-based infrastructure group Robertson recently reported a record £453m turnover, with pre-tax profits climbing 81% to £21.4m in 2015/16.

Paul added: “As we continue to strengthen our reputation in the region, and I’m confident that we will see even stronger growth, with several promising projects in the pipeline.

“To have the strength and covenant of the Robertson Group behind us sets us apart in the market and offers substantial opportunities as we continue our successful expansion.”
