Growth and new jobs for MediaCityUK nursery operator

North West nursery childcare operator KidzRus Private Day Nursery (KidzRus) is expanding at a rapid rate with the assistance of a funding deal secured with Allied Irish Bank (GB). Significant growth is being experienced at their nursery located on South Langworthy Road at MediaCityUK in Salford as they look to nearly double their staff numbers.

The nursery opened last year and was initially registered to take 58 children. Today, it has increased its capacity to 104 children aged between 0-5 years old. The funding package originally helped KidzRus with the costs of refurbishing the nursery and, more recently, provided a platform from which the nursery has grown. This has and continues to allow the nursery to care for more children and recruit new staff.

Established in February 2010, KidzRus was launched by Nicola Fleury with the opening of her first nursery on Manchester Road in Swinton. She has since grown the business, which now has a total of four nurseries, the nurseries being located at The Lodge in Swinton, Media City, Salford and Liverpool Road in Irlam. KidzRus currently employs 60 staff, with 16 being located at the MediaCityUK nursery, a number that is set to increase to 30 when the nursery is at full capacity.

Relationship Manager - Gareth Bennett structured the working capital deal to assist the growth of the nursery and support the ongoing costs and increase in recruitment that this successful expansion brings.

Nicola Fleury, Director of KidzRus said: “We pride ourselves on providing the highest standards of care for each child attending our nurseries. Their safety and wellbeing is our priority – offering a warm, caring, homely environment and providing stimulating choices to encourage development. We aim to offer children a wide range of quality play experiences, along with quality interactions, where the safeguarding of every child is of paramount importance. The decision to extend our MediaCityUK nursery comes as a result of the increased demand for our services and our desire to expand the business.

We have been very happy with the support we have received from Allied Irish Bank (GB) in this process. We have an excellent working relationship and thanks to them we have been able to expand the business. The funding has given me the capital needed to support our increased capacity which includes taking on new staff members and the continued training of our current staff which is very important to me.“

Gareth Bennett, Relationship Manager at Allied Irish Bank (GB) said: “Nicola is extremely passionate and committed to offering children the best possible start in life. She has a great track record of success across her four nurseries and we are delighted to be part of her next journey of growth with the expansion of the MediaCityUK nursery.”
