North Gosforth development to support 400 jobs

31 January 2017: Local housebuilder, Barratt Homes North East, has announced that its North Gosforth Park development on Coach Lane is set to inject £16.2m into the region. The new development will include a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes, supporting 400 jobs in the area.

The construction input into the development is expected to be in excess of £18m, with 90% of this sum being spent in the region. Furthermore, North Gosforth Park will directly and indirectly underpin 400 jobs, including 10 apprenticeship opportunities during the build.

Neil Milburn, Development Director at Barratt Homes North East, commented:

“North Gosforth is a highly sought-after location and this investment into the area will certainly have a positive impact on the local economy. Once complete, North Gosforth Park will comprise of a mixture of two, three and four-bedroom family homes. Just seven miles from Newcastle City Centre and with schools, shopping and country walks on its doorstep, the development will be well suited to first-time buyers and young families.
