Unlock Tech Firms’ Growth Ambitions with Innovative Programme

A pioneering leadership development programme is set to be launched by a UK-based sales performance firm to support tech businesses in achieving their scale-up ambitions.

durhamlane has created its Leading at a Higher Level programme to offer practical tools, personal coaching and a supportive network of aspiring peers and mentors that will provide business leaders with the headspace and time necessary to work on their own challenges of managing digital change and leading high growth within the technology sector.

Accredited and highly accomplished executive coach Alison Freer, who is Director of Consulting, Learning and Digital Transformation at durhamlane, will lead the programme, alongside Richard Lane and Lee Durham, who jointly founded the company in 2011.

Alison previously owned leadership development firm Thinkfreer, which specialised in working with companies across a broad range of sectors, before it was acquired by durhamlane last year. She now helps guide clients as they adapt to commercial leadership in the digital age.

Alison said: “Businesses operating in fast paced industries require strong leadership to deliver results and adapt to the ever-changing conditions. Our Leading at a Higher Level programme has been created to support business leaders’ ambitions, help unlock their growth potential, and achieve their goals and targets through innovative and proven leadership practices.

“The programme is built on a number of well-researched core principles and techniques that will help energise staff and maximise leadership potential, while providing a toolkit to equip people to stay on target and support the journey to continued and rapid growth.”

Leading at a Higher Level will consist of a series of six one-day workshops, including one-to-one coaching sessions and specialist mentoring and peer-networking. It will be available from April across the main tech cities of North England, Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester, and with an overnight stay in the Lake District on the last session. In addition to the three durhamlane hosts, respected guest speakers from the tech sector are going to complement the comprehensive programme.

Lee Durham commented: “We have a proven track record of supporting and driving growth in companies from a range of sectors and sizes, and the addition of Thinkfreer has expanded our knowledge base and services, including executive coaching.

Richard Lane added: “As we, and the industries we work in, progress further into the digital age, it is important to tackle the commercial challenges we face, and the Leading at a Higher Level programme presents clients with effective solutions on how to adapt to digital innovations.”
