Salix Homes is a top place to work

A Salford housing provider has been recognised as one of the top 100 not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK.

Salix Homes has been ranked 82nd in the prestigious Sunday Times 100 Best Not-For-Profit Organisations To Work For 2017 list – with the majority of its 338-strong workforce happy with their teams, managers and how well engaged they feel.

The list is compiled based on detailed feedback from staff at every organisation surveyed. The survey asked staff for an honest assessment on a range of topics, from what they think about leadership, managers and their team, to rating their wellbeing and personal growth opportunities.

Lee Sugden, chief executive at Salix Homes said: “We’re enormously proud of this recognition, but more importantly it’s fantastic to see there’s a broad feeling of happiness and enjoyment with employees and a desire to make the organisation better.

“The amazing, energetic and innovative individuals who work here create a hard-working team that strives to make our communities thrive and produce a high standard of service that our customers deserve.

“So I’d like to say a huge thank you to all my colleagues for making us the organisation we are.”

The housing association has entered the illustrious list for the first time.

Salix Homes has marked this recognition by taking part in National Best Companies Day today (Friday March 3, 2017).
