Clyde Cocking appointed to oversee new Devizes community

David Wilson Homes has appointed Clyde Cocking to oversee the construction of its exciting new Lay Wood development in Devizes.

Clyde’s team will create 230 brand new three, four and five bedroom homes, due to welcome its first visitors to look around when it launches in April.

Hailing from Bristol, Clyde is an experienced site manager - with 20 years already under his belt. He joined David Wilson Homes in 2008, and has most recently been involved in the five star housebuilder’s successful developments at both Midsomer Norton and Frampton Cotterell.

“Clyde is a skilled construction professional, and he will play a crucial role here at Lay Wood,” said sales director, Louise Ware. “With a number successful sites already under his belt, I have no doubt these new homes and the development as a whole will be of the very highest quality.”

Clyde added: “These are beautifully-designed traditional homes and they match their lovely surroundings, close to the marina here in Devizes, perfectly. Clyde’s role as site manager at Lay Wood isn’t all about construction. He’s been busy getting to know people in the local community as part of the housebuilder’s commitment to supporting the areas it works in.

Over recent months he’s visited local schools to donate everything from hi vis jackets to prizes for youngsters who took part in the company’s Christmas card competition.
