Bond Dickinson Named 2017 Insurance Team of Year
National law firm Bond Dickinson LLP has won Insurance Team of the Year at the Legal Business Awards last night (23rd March), at a gala ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in central London.
With more than 100 finalists across 24 categories, the awards recognised the achievements of the finest lawyers in the industry. The winners were selected by an external judging panel comprising senior general counsel and senior editors from Legal Business’ editorial team.
In the past year, Bond Dickinson has acted on a number of significant projects and transactions, including helping insurance giant AIG design its Crowdfunding Fidelity insurance policy. The judging panel also reviewed Bond Dickinson’s track record in successfully defending its clients and their insureds against complex claims. Of particular note is the team’s success in defending its client Hewetts Solicitors against a claim brought in the High Court by an Unregulated Collective Investment Scheme.
Jonathan Drake, Head of the Insurance Sector group at Bond Dickinson said: “We are grateful to Legal Business for this award. It is our privilege to represent a wide range of highly successful and truly innovative insurance companies. Working collaboratively with our client’s in-house teams, our team has successfully defended and delivered on a wide range of innovative and complex legal projects.
“The insurance team here at Bond Dickinson has an impressive track record of advising insurance leaders across a wide range of industry leading projects and so we’re delighted to have won the award on the back of our strong credentials.”
Bond Dickinson’s integrated national insurance team advises insurers and policyholders across the UK. As part of a full service commercial law firm, the team has access to its own in-house experts across the UK in specialisms relevant to professional negligence claims as well as corporate, commercial and regulatory advice.
