Diversity Travel Is Mission Agent Of The Year

Diversity Travel, the leading travel management firm for the academic and charity sectors, has been awarded ‘Best Specialist Agent for Missionary Segment 2017’ by Kenya Airways.

Kenya Airways’ annual awards ceremony for UK travel agents and tour operators was held at the prestigious Simpsons-in-the-Strand in London, and was a celebration of the airline’s 40th year of operation as “The Pride of Africa”.

Headquartered in Manchester, Diversity Travel specialises in UK and international air travel, accommodation, and rail travel for Charities and Universities. The company develops cost effective travel arrangements for more than 2,000 clients across the globe, including the Salvation Army, ActionAid, Wellcome Trust, Save the Children International and the London School of Economics.

Chris Hellawell, Diversity Travel’s Head of Account Management, was presented with the award. He said: “It’s an honour to be awarded Specialist Agent of the Year. Helping charities to reach vital destinations is something that requires strong airline partnerships, so we’d like to thank Kenya Airways for their continued support.”

In 2016 the company reported an increase in sales of over 60 per cent from £36.4 million in 2013 to £56.6 million at the end of 2015 through a strengthened workforce and increased presence in London and Melbourne to enhance the service for its global customers.
