Jen Hill and Sally Fairclough, The Write Angle

Marketing communications agency The Write Angle (TWA) has announced the appointment of Sally Fairclough and Jen Hill as associate director and client services director respectively.

Sally has 16 years of experience across in-house and agency roles in Manchester, London and Sydney. She has previously delivered creative campaigns for a number of national and international brands, including Bacardi, Specsavers Marriott Hotels, Iceland and Aldi.

At TWA, Sally will be responsible for key accounts and driving creativity and growth across the agency.

Jen has joined TWA from Workhouse Marketing and has 17 years’ experience in client and agency positions.

With a background in brand and strategy, Jen’s remit will see her growing TWA’s integrated offer. She will oversee and grow the firm’s 10-strong team as she works towards excellent delivery and results.

Seth Bell, dock10

Media services firm dock10 has appointed Seth Bell as a post producer in its growing VFX department.

Bringing several years’ experiences in production and post to his new role, Seth previously worked for Motion Picture Solutions in London and, more recently, as post production manager for creative agency Picture Production Company.

As a post producer for dock10, Seth will work alongside a team of artists and report to senior producers and Chris Baker, the head of VFX.

Seth said of his appointment: “I am proud to be joining dock10 – the VFX team is one of the very best in the country and it produces exciting and compelling work.

“I am looking forward to creating VFX alongside such a talented team and working to support the continued success of the business.”

Chris Baker commented: “Seth brings to dock10 a wealth of experience working in post production.

“His role will be central to our operation, communicating with and managing clients effectively while closely collaborating with our team of creatives and operators. Seth will be responsible for managing projects throughout the post production process.”

Peter Jackson, Seddon Construction

Seddon Construction’s current chief operating officer, Peter Jackson, making the step up to managing director this month.

Peter has been with the company for a total of 17 years, having first joined as a quantity surveyor in 1994, when the company traded as G&J Seddon Ltd. He went on to rejoin the company in 2005 as operations director and became chief operating officer in 2014.

With Peter becoming Seddon’s managing director, current MD Jonathan Seddon will assume the role of chairman of Seddon Construction and CEO of the wider Seddon Group.

Jonathan Seddon said: “Over the last three years as chief operating officer, Peter has been instrumental in guiding Seddon through many changes and challenges, establishing our regional teams and outlining a powerful vision for the business.

“I am therefore delighted to announce Peter’s appointment to managing director. It is vital that we have the very best people leading our organization at every level, and as a key part of the Seddon strategy, I’m certain Peter will help us achieve every ambition we have as a business.”

Peter Jackson commented: “I am absolutely delighted to be appointed as managing director.

Nigel Poole, Kings Chambers

Nigel Poole QC has been appointed as head of chambers at Manchester-based civil barristers’ set Kings Chambers.

Following his appointment, Nigel will replace outgoing head Nick Braslavsky QC.

Commenting on his new position, Nigel said: “Kings Chambers is highly regarded right across the UK due to the depth of its specialist expertise.

“My predecessor, Nick Braslavsky QC has worked hard to steer chambers to its current position as a pre-eminent set with renowned specialists across a wide range of civil work.”

He continued: “We have a wonderful team of clerks and support staff at the chambers, all of whom put in a tremendous amount of hard work and make a fantastic contribution towards the specialisation, excellence and accessibility we offer.

“I am looking forward to working with the staff and members of Kings Chambers to build on our great work to date and ensure that chambers continues to go from strength to strength. It is a great honour to become Head of Kings Chambers.”

Called to the Bar in 1989, Nigel has worked with Kings Chambers since 2004. In 2012 he was appointed as a QC. Prior to his appointment, Nigel served as the head of Kings’ personal injury and clinical negligence department.

Kings Chambers’ director of chambers, Debra Andres, commented: “Since joining Kings Chambers 13 years ago Nigel has firmly established himself as part of the Kings family.

“With his energy and dynamism he has spearheaded the development of a nationally renowned clinical negligence team here at Kings. We are delighted to have him as our new Head of Chambers.”

Tony Bray, Bruton Knowles

Manchester property consultancy Bruton Knowles has taken on Tony Bray in the role of commercial partner.

Following his appointment, Tony will advise landowners, developers and investors on the acquisition, optimal use and funding of urban residential developments. His remit will include build-to-rent apartments, serviced apartments and student accommodation.

Tony has 25 years of experience working in the property sector, having run his own investment and development consultancy, Pure Real Estate Solutions. He was also a partner at commercial property consultancy Cushman & Wakefield.

He said of his appointment: “I joined Bruton Knowles to offer clients a more detailed understanding of urban developments, and provide support building relationships with developers and investors.

“There is much potential with the residential sector in its widest definition, and I am looking forward to working with clients across the region to help them build their portfolios.”
