Manning Stainton acquires East Leeds counterpart AR Estate Agents

Yorkshire estate agency Manning Stainton has completed the acquisition of AR Estate Agents.

Established in 2011, AR Estate Agents is an independent agency which provides residential sales and lettings services to sellers, buyers and landlords in Crossgates, East Leeds and the surrounding areas.

Mark Manning, managing director of Manning Stainton, said: “We have been in discussion with AR Estate Agents for some time about acquiring the business and are therefore delighted that this has now been concluded.”

Ann Riddington, managing director of AR Estate Agents, added: “My main priority when looking to sell the business was to ensure that the management of my existing clients was in the safest possible hands.

“Having received a number of approaches from other agents it was clear that Manning Stainton was the one who shared our customer service values along with having a reputation for excellence. I am also thrilled that my most trusted colleague, Lettings Manager Mandy Driver, is joining Manning Stainton to provide continuity for our clients.”

As part of the purchase, Manning Stainton will take over the AR Estate Agents lettings portfolio as it looks to expand in the area through organic growth and future acquisitions.

Mr Manning explained: “We would like to expand our lettings operation even further by acquiring other like-minded businesses.

“The industry is experiencing some fundamental changes and we feel that our expertise in the sector aligned with our extensive geographical footprint could be of real benefit to independent agents and landlords during these challenging times.”

Manning Stainton currently has 19 residential sales and lettings branches across West and North Yorkshire. The agency attracts over 800 new tenants every month actively seeking rental accommodation and provides landlords with services including a let only option and full comprehensive property management.
