Wigan-based Focus Insolvency Group targets increased caseload with RBS support

Insolvency and corporate restructuring firm Focus Insolvency Group has secured a funding deal with the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) to drive its growth plans forward.

The Wigan-based company, having achieved record growth during the past 12 months, will use the undisclosed sum as a working capital boost to increase the number of jobs it can take on.

From September 2016 to March 2017, Focus Insolvency Group more than tripled its caseload in comparison to the same six-month period the year previous, from 99 jobs to 354.

Now the firm, which has additional offices in Manchester and Leeds, is aiming to continue this growth trend, increasing job numbers to 150 jobs per month by April 2018 and to 250 per month the year after.

Focus Insolvency Group’s MD and founder, Anthony Fisher, said: “These last few months have been tremendous in terms of growth within both our Personal Insolvency and Corporate Insolvency divisions.

“We have continued to focus on business development, forming new relationships with professional advisors around our Wigan, Manchester and Leeds offices and as a result have experienced a boom in the number of businesses we have rescued from collapse and the number of jobs that have been saved.”

He added: “We have also seen a huge increase in demand for our Personal Insolvency services throughout the country.”

Speaking further, Anthony said the firm is now looking at opening more offices to increase its UK footprint.

He continued: “The funding we have secured with Royal Bank of Scotland is an integral part of our planned growth strategy and will help to support our continued organic expansion.”

RBS senior relationship manager David Jones commented: “I am pleased that we have been able to support Anthony and the team at Focus Insolvency Group.

“The business has seen a real boom in the number of cases it is handling and the funding will help to ensure that it can continue to expand.”

Established in 2007, Focus Insolvency Group employs a team of 28 and offers advice and guidance to limited companies, partnerships, sole traders and individuals experiencing financial difficulties.
