Problems created due to presence of education system

Countries with two or more educational systems cannot be successful in the long term. Such difference in academic systems leads to a number of different problems.

As the world is becoming more like a global village, the ways of life are changing. With more emphasis on technology and science in every walk of life, economic and financial considerations are given top priority in most aspects of our lifestyles. People think more like calculative robots trying to make money in every way possible.

Commercialization of Education:A similar trend has been seen in the educational sector as well. The recent years mark considerable commercialization of the academics and educational institutes around the world. Although this commercialization had started many years ago, the visible changes are only more prominent in the current time period. Schools and colleges are now more focused on marketing strategies and promotional campaigns than on the academic side of their institutes.

Inequality of Education:As a consequence of this commercialization, inequality has been created in the educational sector. With different methods of teaching and different types of syllabi in place, students belonging to different systems give out different outcomes. This diversity of educational systems is not just a method of improving education but as a means of fighting competition as well.

Availability of more systems:In many countries, educational systems vary because of the unequal distribution of resources for academia. The major classification in most regions is between public sector education and private sector systems. Then within the private sector, there can be afurther classification of various educational systems. But what impact does thepresence of different educational system within a country has? This is a question that needs to be addressed.

Problems of more than one education system:Few problems that may arise as a result of more than one education system in the same country are highlighted below:

· The first problem arises when an economic disparity is created between the two systems. Public sector education being cheaper is considered to be for the lower and middle class while private sector education is for the affluent class.

· Students of the two systems consider themselves different and as they enter the mainstream practical world, lack the confidence to compete with the better educational system

· The syllabi taught in both the systems will be different. As a consequence, students with same degrees might not be versed with the same concepts and study materials

· Teachers of both the systems will be different and require different levels of training

· Sometimes having two educational systems lead to language barriers for students as well. One system may be more dependent on native language while other might be focusing on international languages. As a result, a barrier of understanding is created between the two.

· The human resource capital of such a country with two educational systems is difficult to categorize as a good or bad.

The biggest impact of different educational systems in thesame country is on thequality of education. Students end up in economic and social disparity and geographic and demographic division is more common. It is, therefore, important for long term success of any country to follow and implement unified educational systems in all its localities and regions.
