Slater Heelis expands mediation services
Experienced solicitor, Sunil Mohindra has achieved a prestigious mediation accreditation from the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution, the leading commercial and public sector mediation provider in Europe.
Sunil is a partner in the Corporate team at leading Manchester law firm Slater Heelis LLP.
Mediation helps two parties to resolve a legal dispute without going to court. Parties in dispute are now required to attempt some form of Alternative Dispute Resolution, which includes negotiation, mediation, collaborative law, and arbitration, before the case reaches the courts.
Chris Bishop, managing partner at Slater Heelis, said:
“We pride ourselves on providing the highest standard of advice to all our business clients. Sunil’s accreditation will strengthen the range of specialist services we can offer, allowing us to provide a comprehensive service to suit the individual requirements of all our clients.”
Sunil said:
“Business disputes are known for being very expensive. Using a mediator offers a much more cost effective method to resolve disputes, helping both parties to come to an amicable agreement on complex issues on their own terms. Mediation can be used in any case, including professional negligence claims and company disputes.”
Sunil is a Council member of Manchester Law Society and a past member of the Board of Trustees of TiE Global and past President of TiE UK North, a global networking organisation for entrepreneurs established to mentor, educate and support entrepreneurs worldwide. He is also recognised as a leading lawyer in the Legal 500 law directory.
